allow users to embed Twyric in blogs and other websites by posting html code for use by bloggers, etc
I'm doing a blog post in my contemporary music/arts blog about Twyric, and I thought it would be cool if I could embed the functionality of it in the post. I think other people would find this interesting as well. Like the embed html code you can get for a YouTube video.

display the flickr image in bigger size
If the flickr image would be maybe double the height it would look much better.

user/name cycling / timing bug
http://twyric.com/user/SirWumpus
After certain number of displays, like 30, the images and tweets start going "nuts", cycling at random intervals milliseconds apart. It has to be seen to be understood, but it certainly ain't right.

permalink bug "tweet by undefined"
eg. http://twyric.com/user/SirWumpus?tweet=2062971346&flickr=2551109997
shows "tweet by underfined", where clearly the user name is in both the URL and/or the JSON twitter object.

add voting for author / photographer / combined
consider a way that viewers can vote on poems by author, by photographer, and by the combination of the two (ie. is the photo suited to the subject of the poem);
alternatively run period polls or "best of" events.

Add #vss (very short story) to list of accepted hashtags
#vss has a growing twitter community behind it featuring both microfiction and poems

General word / phrase search
Sometimes you can't remember an @user, but you can remember a word or phrase from a poem and would like to try to find it again. So the ability to search would be good.
If the poems could be presented in groups (10, 50, 100) on a page with link to next page, without reliance on javascript, then it might be possible to just let Google index the poems and then use Google's site search modifier to find things.
So a simple linear HTML presentation mode, given to spiders might be useful.

Progressive disclosure menu for poem options
add additional menu when moving mouse over tweet including features as
- bookmark this poem
- display further information

Show time zone and/or location of tweet.
The twitter API objects supply the time_zone and location of the tweet. While the created_at expresses the creation time in GMT. Showing the location just adds a little more about the author.

odd behaviour speed=5000&hash=haiku
If I specify http://twyirc.com/?speed=5000&hash=haiku then stream starts with older tweets (about 2 hours back), whereas if i specify no parameters at all I'll see the most recent haiku and poems from just moments ago.

URL parameter to select preferred language.
Some of the poems are in german, japanese, or other language and/or character sets that the viewer probably will not understand. RFC 2616 described the Accept-Language header; see
http://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc2616#section-14.4
which could be used to get viewers preferences from the HTTP request. The hard part is identifying the language of the tweet. This might require a twitter enhancement to include author's language in the JSON or XML object data.

Clickable link to request different photo.
The poem / photo matching algorithm doesn't always select a photo that matches the poem's topic or emotion. Would be nice to have viewers try to find a better photo. This user interaction might also provide data that might help improve future revisions in the algorithm.

Only accept #haiku tagged tweets if properly formatted.
Some tweets are discussions about #haiku and do not have the necessary cut markers (/) or (//), so they don't read as any form of poem.
1 voteok. what about the “slahes only” radio button in the “my twyric” section at http://twyric.com/settings.htm ? Is this what you mean?
